AREA OVERVIEW
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the crater the jewel Ngorongoro crown is a deep volcanic crater –the largest unfolded and unbroken caldera in the world -19.2 km in diameter 610m deep and 304sq km in area. The rich pasture and permanent water of the crater floor support a large resident population of wildlife of up to 25,000-predominat grazing –animal, include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque place, is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Late afternoon transfer to Moshi For dinner and Overnight or Kilimanjaro airport drop off.
End of the safari the African traces driver will take you to the airport for your flight back home / or option for climbing mountain Kilimanjaro.
